Very good food for what it is. I don't often eat Mexican food in El Paso, since I get so much of it that's delicious and far superior Tucson (just trying to start a war), but I enjoyed this and it was reasonably priced. They were also one of the few places open on Thanksgiving evening. The service was a bit slow, but I feel like you have to expect that when you go to a restaurant on Thanksgiving.

Mamacitas is a cute spot located in downtown El Paso. The decor is vintage and the menu is Mexican inspired. I came here for lunch on a Monday afternoon and there was no wait. I ordered the Tandoori Chicken style Gyro with fries and paired it with a sangria. The Tandoori flavor was very mild but it was well made and the chicken breast was not dry. Our waitress was patient and accommodating. Overall it was a wonderful lunch experience and I would return to explore more of their menu.

This is a cuuuttteee spot. Chic decor. Friendly staff. Great eats. Let's jump right into this review. What did we have - BACON WRAPPED SHRIMP with jalapeño and date jam dipping sauce $15 - this was absolutely delicious! CHICKEN SKEWERS $UNKNOWN - tender, juicy with some spice, definitely worth ordering! **Looks like this item is no longer on the menu** BASKET OF CHURROS $9 - two thumbs up, can be shared LEMON CHEESECAKE $9 - beautifully decorated, light, and refreshing :) LAVENDER LEMONADE $UNKNOWN Pros 1. Our server had a whole vibe and even played along with my friend and I as we debated on who was paying for the bill. 2. No waiting. We went around 6 pm on a Wednesday evening. Was seated right away. 3. Nice decor and ambiance. They played music, and that added to the vibe. 4. Food was plated beautifully. Those small details of making the food look appealing are a plus for me. Make me want to eat the food just by looking at it. Kudos for good-looking food on the plate. Cons 1. Portion sizes are small. My friend and I aren't big eaters, so it worked for us. The shrimp was served - 3 per dish. The chicken skewers were served - 2 per dish. 2. Restaurant entrance is hidden. A con for me because there are several doors on the outsid, but you can not open them. The entrance is through the Indigo Hotel. Signage would be nice. Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Mamacitas. It was a wonderful evening in a chic restaurant, good service, and delicious bites. If I come back to El Paso, I'll definitely dine again.

This place is so cute! I came in during brunch time on a Sunday and they had live music playing which added to the vibe of the restaurant. The food was delicious and gave a modern twist to Mexican cuisine. I ordered an iced matcha latte and chilaquiles which was pretty tasty. I also had the churro waffles as a dessert and omg they were to die for. 4 stars because the service could have been better. Although my waitress was nice, she could have been more attentive. I saw my churro waffles sitting on the counter waiting to be delivered for literally 10 min while the restaurant only had 5 tables sat. Regardless, I would still come back if I'm ever in the area.

Stated off a little rocky with our seating but quickly turned around to being a great experience. This place is a fusion restaurant with a very diverse menu. The waitress was so patient with us and explained everything we were wondering about. We were a slightly large group and she was on top of everything, even bringing something for the child in the group without being asked. That was a nice touch. The food had good flavor but the waitress really made it a good experience. I'd recommend trying this restaurant when it has menu options you're interested in trying.
